LAWN MOWING SIMULATOR PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy gives you an overview of the information we collect and the different ways we may use or share it, this Policy applies to our use of analytics data collected via the PC and XBOX Series S/X title LAWN MOWING SIMULATOR. We will hereby refer to LAWN MOWING SIMULATOR as “Games”.

Curve Digital Publishing Limited (“Curve Digital”) and Skyhook Games respect your right to privacy. Curve Digital is the controller of the data collected under this policy.

  1. How do we collect information from you?

As soon as you launch one of our Games, you send technical information to us when performing certain in game actions, this data is completely anonymised and DOES NOT identify any individual subjects or contain any personal data.

Once we have collected the data, the data is quantified and analysed to determine how people are playing and other game play actions, for example, equipping in-game items will define how popular certain items are, or fail states will help to determine difficulty balancing within levels.

We store this usage data exclusively in anonymised form, so that it is no longer possible for us to draw any conclusions about your person.

  1. What information we may collect from you?

We collect the following information automatically when you play our Games. All data collected is related to in games actions only.

We retrieve/generate an id that’s unique for each device, so that we can track player retention. This id does not reveal any information of the player identity and we cannot use the id to trace who the player is.

Total Grass Cut The amount of grass Helping to balance the level difficulty.
Mulch Produced The amount of grass clippings collected during career mode Helping to balance the level difficulty.

To provide our Games to you

We use information about you for delivering our games to you under the terms of use agreed between us. The processing of information in this way is necessary for us to record your progress and current status within Games, and to ensure the Games deliver the features promised and function properly, so that you have the best experience.

To help us improve the Online Services and fix any problems

We may process non identifiable analytics so that we can analyse and improve our Games. This processing is necessary for us to pursue our legitimate interests of

(1)   ensuring that our Games function properly so that you and other players have the best experience when playing any of our Games
(2)   improving the quality of our Games, and providing a better experience to our users
(3)   identifying and correcting any bugs in the Games

We use third party providers Microsoft Playfab for our analytics, they collect data on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions, and their applicable privacy notices.

  1. The legal basis for processing data 

When processing your personal data, we rely on the following legal base in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, an EU-wide legal framework for standardising data protection laws (“GDPR”).

Our legitimate interests (Article 6 (1) f) GDPR):

We would be entitled to process your data without your consent because it is necessary to pursue our legitimate interests (or the interests of third parties). In this respect, the purposes described in sections 1 & 2 above for which we process your data also represent our legitimate interests in many cases. Specifically, this concerns the analytics data that we process to gain insights on user behaviour (in anonymised form) to constantly improve our games.

  1. Who has access to the information?

We may share this information with our subcontractor Skyhook Games insofar as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. However, this is on the basis that they do not make independent use of the information and have agreed to safeguard the information.

  1. How do we protect your information?

We will take all appropriate administrative technical and organisational precautions to prevent accidental, unlawful, or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure, or use and other unlawful forms of processing of the information.

All information recorded through our games is entirely anonymised.

  1. How long do we keep your information?

The information will be recorded and kept for development purposes up until August 2022. At which point the data will be deleted.

All data recorded is for purposes of legitimate interest and is completely anonymised however subject to applicable law, you may have the following rights available to you in respect of your personal data

EEA and UK residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority if they have concerns about the handling of personal information.
